Our names are Tom and Flo Erwin. We live in Mississauga and don’t own a kennel. All of our dogs live in our home with us.
We breed for Health and Temperament first, structure follows that. We don't breed for color. Every breeding is planned. The genetic background of both parents is very carefully considered. For the breed to flourish we do not breed the same male to each and every female that we own.
We keep something from each breeding for our breeding program and all other puppies are sold on a non-breed, spay/neuter contract.
Our puppies come from parents that have their Canadian Championships. These parents have had all of their health testing done and we have the certificates to prove it, also the results are up on the OFFA.org. All of our puppies are raised in the main part of our house for proper socialization. All of our Barbet have been given their shots by a vet and they have yearly checkups.
In our 40 years of breeding and showing Bichons and Barbets, we have had over 100 Canadian Champions (20 Barbets), some of them Best In Show Winners. Several have been Top Dogs in Canada. In order to focus properly on the Barbet we stopped breeding the Bichon.
We show all of our breeding Barbet to prove that they have the proper temperament. To get their Canadian Championships they have to be handled by many people, such as their groomers, handlers and different judges. An unstable dog can’t do that.
We have won the Top Breeder of the year 3 times for Bichons and 2 times so far for the Barbet and are the top contender for 2013 in Canada.
We are the proud breeders and owners of the Top Barbet in Canada “MBIS, MBISS, GChEx. Flacon D’Paris of Neigenuveaux “Murdoch”
Our Goal: To breed top quality Barbet from the healthiest dogs possible. Health and sound temperament is our top priority.
