All breeding partners are tested for the genetic issues prevalent in the breed, and we offer a health warranty on all puppies. Between our three households we expect between two and four litters a year of all colors. We do not announce breedings when they're in the planning stages. This is another aspect of breeding we do a little differently - it's because we've found that we are much happier when we can get to know prospective owners privately and not drown in a flood of applications when puppies are announced. If you'd like to know when we expect puppies and the prospective pedigrees, contact us or download and fill out a puppy application.
We prefer to place most puppies in service dog, performance, or pet homes. We are most interested in a lifelong commitment to the puppy, not in what kind of house or car you have. We co-own one or two outstanding show or breeding prospects per litter in order to make sure each of our dogs has the loving attention of a personal home; if you are interested in an arrangement of that kind please let us know.
We do not avoid fluffs or fluff carriers as breeding prospects, and we will breed an outstanding mismark as well, so we often have some very interesting hair and loud colors in our litters.
We know that every day, it seems, the news features a breeder who has, often without intending to, gotten in over her head and welfare has suffered, even as puppy buyers were receiving what they thought were well-cared-for puppies. We promise to never conceal anything from you. We have monthly meet-and-greets at our homes and we invite you to see all our dogs - the retirees as well as the puppies. We hope you take as much joy in our dogs and puppies as we do.
