My lifelong love of animals began in my first home above my father's veterinary clinic where I found myself so often in the kennels. Such passion for animal husbandry has found its full expression here on our homestead with lots of livestock.
As an Animal Assisted Therapist and Grief Counselor I am able to take advantage of the healing power of animal interactions to benefit my clients; whether it is in the roundpen with the horses or visiting nursing homes or hospitals with my dogs (I'm also an evaluator for Therapeutic Paws of Canada).
Our goal is to produce only a couple of litters per year of happy, healthy, well adjusted Chocolate Yorkshire Terriers with correct type and temperament according to the breed standard. We aim for dogs that weigh 6-7lbs at maturity with medium sized, well-set, upright ears, strong jaws with healthy dentition, strong, straight legs without luxating patellas and dark silky coats.
